I've been waiting for seven years for my pair of Ken's Red hardy kiwis to produce fruit, and just now have come to the conclusion that the 'female' I bought is actually male :(
Rather than starting from scratch I'm hoping to take advantage of its established roots and graft on a cutting of a female plant, in the fall. I would be very grateful for cuttings from a proven female hardy kiwi, ideally Ken's Red but other varieties would work (except Issai, as I need a variety that is vigorous enough to climb up to and cover my patio). I'd need to get the scions in the winter, but thought I'd started looking for a source now.
If your kiwi is like mine it grows like crazy every year and needs a good prune in winter, and I would be so grateful for some of that material! And could discuss a trade of some other plants if you like. Let me know. Thank you!!!
