Does your own private room and bathroom in a warm friendly family home in a central location sound inviting?
We are looking for a positive, responsible, professional person (or mature student) to share a private room in our family home. You get a very private furnished room downstairs with its own ensuite bathroom, while sharing a bright, modern kitchen with all the amenities you need, plus a living room, sundeck and beautiful edible garden with our family upstairs. Three-minute walk to groceries, shopping, ATM, restaurants, cafes, bus stops. Close to Camosun, Royal Jubilee Hospital, and just steps to Hillside Mall. It is a short bike ride to downtown and to UVic.
Your furnished room has an ensuite, hardwood floors and a comfy queen bed with night tables, a small desk, shelves, a wardrobe (no closet), and a view of the garden. We can do unfurnished if preferred for a longer lease. The rent includes electricity, heat, hot water, free wi-fi, high-speed internet, ample on-street parking, and shared laundry.
Gardeners welcome! We have veggie beds, a herb garden, lots of fruit, honeybees, an effusion of flowers and vines, and a few too many weeds. You can use one of our raised garden beds if the growing season matches your lease.
We are professionals with two young kids and two cats. We love to garden, listen to music, watch hockey, read and chat with our friendly neighbours. Our children are charming but rambunctious, so you need to genuinely enjoy family life and be ok with the noise, chaos, and mess that comes with young kids. We are looking for someone that is a good fit for our family. We can provide references/reviews from past tenants and guests.
$895/mth for single person, $1250/mth for couple. 3 mth minimum lease required. All utilities included. Interview, references, credit check, and deposit required.
